Fitting with Miss Cherrylen T. Villadiego, who is not only known in Balibago Integrated High School for her stunning beauty but also for her wit and passion towards excellence.  At the young age of 26, she proves her worth and expertise in the field of education specifically in MAPEH subject.  From a neophyte Teacher I, she already accomplished her two Master's Degree both in two prestigious schools in the country:  La Salle University -- Ozamiz City where she's taking her Master of Arts in Education Major in Teaching the Arts and Philippine Normal University, where she took her Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational Management which leads her to be a Master Teacher I in MAPEH Department in BIHS.  

Not only that, just recently, Miss Villadiego emerges as one of the Outstanding Teachers of the Year 2020 in Instabright Publication held at Tagaytay City Convention Center last January 11, 2020.  Due to vast experiences, authored researchers, joined community services and various conferences attended both national and international, undoubtedly, she is one of the outstanding teachers that BIHS is truly proud of!

BIHS Teacher bags Special Recognition at 2019 Gawad Felicismo T. San Luis para sa Namumukod-Tanging Kabataan ng Laguna

Cherrylen T. Villadiego, A MAPEH teacher from Balibago Integrated High School, bags a special recognition at 2019 Gawad Felicismo T. San Luis para sa Namumukod-Tanging Kabataan ng Laguna - Araw ng Parangal held at Cultural Center of Laguna, December 22, 2019. 

The contest is search for the outstanding youth leader in the province of Laguna.  Among the many competitors across the province, Miss Villadiego won special recognition -- "Natatanging Pagkilala sa Kahusayan sa Sining at Kultura". 

Furthermore, the Gawad Laguna Inc., in collaboration with the Local Government of Laguna, is sponsoring the competition.

This contest aims to recognize and develop youth leaders here in the province. It also encourages leaders to strengthen and uphold strong values among youth leaders and is a good vessel to create future leaders in the country.

International Teaching Demonstration

Kudos to Ms. Cherrylen T. Villadiego for being one of the chosen demonstration teachers and presenters in the 2nd Bantula International Conference on Culture-Based Education in the Context of ASEAN Integration held last October 25 - 28, 2018 at Dela Salle-College of Saint Benilde, School of Design and Arts, Manila. 

This three-day conference envisions to ventilate issues regarding ASEAN Cooperation through round table discussion, cultural presentation, teaching demonstration, and dialogue.  Culture-based education can play a vital role in honing regional cooperation and socio-cultural mobility.  And being one of the catalysts who promotes partnership-respect among ASEAN community and recognizes the importance of culture contextualization in education, we salute you for your unwavering passion and dedication!

BIHS mentor tops 5th National Culture-based Lesson Exemplar tilt 

Cherrylen T. Villadiego, (MAPEH Teacher of Balibago Integrated High School (BIHS) topped the 5th National Culture-based Lesson Exemplar competition held at NCAA (National Commission in Culture and Arts) building, Intramuros, Manila, August 29.

The competition is open to all teachers in the elementary and secondary level in every subject areas nationwide.

Among the different contenders in the country, Villadiego triumphed the lesson exemplar competition in MAPEH in which she focused in Arts.

Moreover, the competition is sponsored by the NCAA through the Philippine Cultural Education Program (PCEP) in cooperation with the Department of Education (DepEd).

It aims to promote the integration  of culture in every learning areas in the academic field.

Villadiego said the lesson exemplar competition also encourages teachers to strengthen and uphold cultural values among students and is a good vessel to help preserve the rich cultural heritage of the country.
